Winter Storm Dumps Nine More Inches Here

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

Mother Nature must have figured we didn’t have enough problems to deal with an lashed out with an additonal nine plus inches of snow.

That will only prolong the winter season and make things a bit difficult.

On Monday (Feb. 9) it began with heavy rain and turned to snow, leaving a mess.

Now all we can do is make the best of it and move ahead.

Tuesday (Feb. 10) saw Hwy. 2 being shut down along with numerous merchants, while the local radio station (KEYZ 660 AM) lost its transmitor.

We have been away from the keyboard on this blog for a few days and perhaps now with some idle time we can bring you more updates.

Pittsburgh Steelers Win Out In The End Over Arizona Cards

Monday, February 2nd, 2009

Hey, things don’t always work out the way we want them to.

While we had predicted an Arionza victory in Super Bowl XLIII, it simply wasn’t in the Cards.

It proved to be a great game for the fans and the Arizona Cardinals under the leadership of Kurt Warner gave the pesky Steelers everything and then some.

So folks, football is basically over, with the exception of the Pro Bowl.

On that note think Spring as teams begin heading in Spring Training camps.

Super Bowl Sunday Has Finally Arrived

Sunday, February 1st, 2009

While Spring may be still a long ways away, one thing that tends to speed the process is Super Bowl Sunday.

Normally this time of year thoughts are on the big game with spring training for baseball in the wings.

While baseball is about to unfold, Mother Nature might have a lot to say about warming things up.

With the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Arizona Cardinals doing battle today (Feb. 1), there are those who tend to make picks.

Over the years we have always liked to take part in the selection process so we might as well jump in.

You might recall our radio guest Otis Lingenfelter on Friday, the grandfather of Arizona quarterback Kurt Warner.

Going with a gut and that inside info we are going to go with Arizona over Pittsburgh 27-17.

There you have it.

One thing for certain, when the game is over, we will know for sure.

Sit back and enjoy.
