June is Shaping Up to be a Busy Month
A quick glance at the calendar reminds us the month of June is full of activities.
It all begins this weekend with the Miss North Dakota Pageant in town, along with the Economart/Delaney Baseball Tournament.
This means an influx of visitors and that is always a good thing.
The City Band begins yet another season in Harmon Park at the Virgil Syverson Performance Center with Virgil Syverson directing.
Concerts are held each Thursday evening beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Prior to the concerts you can dine on some fine hamburgers prepared by the Williston Korner Lions.
From June 18-21 you will want to check out the fun at Fort Union with the annual Rendezvous taking place.
Also on June 20 you can join in the 18th annual American State Bank & Trust Rendezvous Run.
That only gets you part way through the month.
On June 24 you are in for a special treat as at 8 p.m. at the VSPC in Harmon Park you can enjoy the sounds of High Valley.
This Canadian Trio offers Country Christian songs and you will want to be on hand.
That will be followed by another City Band event on June 25, leading up to June 27.
At 3 p.m. on June 27 you will be able to enjoy the sounds of the ND State American Legion Band at the VSPC, along with an evening concert provided by Williston native Eldon Johnson.
Eldon will bring along some friends in a concert set to begin at 7 p.m.
Then on June 30 at 5 p.m. you can enjoy the sounds of the Yamaha Summer Drum Camp.
That should keep you busy for a spell.
