Scoping It Out

While it may be hard to believe, the year of 2009 is almost behind us.

That means a turn of the calendar will welcome 2010.

With the past year in the books we can only look back and remember what took place.

Not all was good, but we must learn from the past and move ahead to make things better.

We seize this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy New Year.

Brrrrrr……..or is that Ouch….????

Old Man Winter flexed his muscles during Christmas Day and delivered some unwanted packages.

Those packages included more than 24 inches of snow to the Minot area, while Williston was fortunate to be on the receiving end of only six inches.

We had the luck of the draw to be in the middle of the action in Minot, finding ourselves digging out of the white stuff.

While a white Christmas is wanted each year, this time around proved to be a little too much to handle.

Thanks to some friends things proved to work out and everyone is back to normal.

If there is such a thing this time of year.

After some 45 days in another city and the Christmas snowstorm the Scope has been kept away from the keyboard.

Yes, the winter storm has put a damper on travel, which means folks have had to make due.

That might even call for some old-fashioned ways to enjoy activities indoors.

Mother Nature flexed her muscles and dropped a blanket of snow across the state, while adding some wind for good measure.

As a result many folks were unable to get together for the annual gatherings.

While it is hard to complain, the best must be made from whatever is dished out.

Life will go on and everything usually comes out in the wash.

Or so they say!

Once we get back in the swing of things look for some updates.
