Scoping It Out

Well folks, if you can believe the weather folks, we had best get ready and be prepared to hunker down once again.

The forecast for the weekend tells us some nasty weather is moving in.

The good folks on the west coast have been battered and they are receiving a downpour of rain, along with reports of tornadoes.

That makes for an interesting mix.

All we can do is make the best of it and hang on for the ride.

The best advice is to grab some extra supplies and make the best of a bad situation.

Spring and baseball are waiting in the wings.

Hey folks, the Minnesota Vikings proved to be impressive in a 34-3  win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

The old-timer, Brett Favre, steered the Vikings to victory, while his defense took care of business on the other side of the field.

It proved to be a big win and now the Vikings are only one game away from a return to the Super Bowl.

Now that would be a real accomplishment, adding to the good old days when Bud Grant was at the helm.

Before that can be done they will have to take care of business at the SuperDome.

Minnesota fans were very pleased with Favre as the former Packer was unreal as he hooked up with Sidney Rice on Sunday.

With only a few days to heal up the troops the Vikes must carry the intensity they displayed on Sunday into the NFC Championship game on the road.

It will be a game for everyone to enjoy.

A fantastic crowd was on hand at the Williston High School Auditorium Friday (Jan. 15) to hear a very positive message delivered by Williston native Kris Kuester.

Kris returned to his hometown to spread the word that everybody has an “It.”

The only thing he wanted to share was the fact you can deal with “It.”

On a busy evening the crowd proved to be very large, with more than 500 in attendance to hear song and the story of what Kris has been through.

Evenings like this are most enjoyable.

We don’t know about you but the swing in the temperature is something to yell about.

After being in the deep freeze with some 30 below temps being record, the climb to more than 30 above is refreshing.
