Change in the Weather is Coming

Friday, March 26th, 2010

If you can believe the weatherman things are looking up in the temperature department.

After a little blast of cold air it appears the temps will take a drastic rise.

Yahooooo!

That means it is definitely time to get out and enjoy.

We call your attention to a big event set for April 10 at the Airport International Inn.

The 4th annual “Night of Music” is set to begin at 6 p.m.

Ragtime piano player Scott Kirby and Alexander resident Paula Slow will serve as headliners.

Weather Allows Folks to Get Out and About

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

Hey folks, there’s no excuse to stay in your house.

Mother Nature has released her grip and the time has come to get out and enjoy.

This weekend allows a number of events to get out and stretch your legs.

You just might need your running shoes.

The Farm and Ranch Show continues Wednesday while the 25th annual Williston Sports and Recreation Show unfolds Friday.

That event will feature some top talent on Friday with Mike Russell bringing his Legends Tour to our city.

If you’re looking for a special treat the 80th annual Corned Beef and Cabbage feed is set for Saturday at the Faith United Methodist Church in Williston.

This is reported to be the longest running feed.

One thing for certain, there’s plenty to do.

Enjoy!

It’s Time to Bring on Some Warm Weather

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Hey folks, Mother Nature must have viewed her shadow.

For some reason that sun likes to stay behind the clouds and as a result we have some gloomy days.

Sure would be nice as Spring approaches to get things back to normal.

But then again, is there such a thing as normal these days.

The Scope has been away from the keyboard for a few days with a trip out to the eastern part of the state to pay a visit to a new grand baby.

Yes my friends, that is quite an experience.

We’ll make every effort to get back to business and share some info.
