Holiday season is about to wrap up

Wednesday, December 29th, 2010

Hey, with the holiday season about to wrap up, does that mean warmer weather lies ahead?

One can only hope.

First we need to get through this latest winter storm which plans to drop more of that white stuff.

The best thing to do is adjust and hunker down best you can.

Once the calendar is turned to begin 2011 it is only a matter of time before the birds return.

Then again, a flock of robins must have missed the last train out of town as they were huddled in an evergreen making the best of cover and food.

If the robins are confused, where does that leave all of us.

Christmas Eve is Closing Fast

Thursday, December 9th, 2010

With Thanksgiving in the rear view mirror it’s time to trudge ahead and get set to flip the calendar on a new year.

Yes folks, the colder temperatures are threatening, but that won’t stop hearty North Dakotans from getting out and finish out their Christmas shopping.

One thing nice is the faster the holidays fly by that can only mean Spring is that much closer.

At this writing we want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a most Happy New Year.

We may get back to this site before the end of the year, but the Scope has been very busy with a number of activities.

That includes taking care of business in the red suit with the bag on my back.

Oh well…somebody has to do it.

Ho Ho Ho!
