Autumn weather is welcome; but for some too hot

Thursday, September 22nd, 2011

Hey, speaking of getting hot, the Minnesota Vikings need the burner turned up a notch or two.

The last time we visited here the Vikings were off to San Diego and since that time they have dropped two contests.

That’s not good, especially if you’re a die hard Vikings fan.

Around this part of the country a lot of folks like to show their horns.

One can only hope the Vikes will come out on top of the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

Meanwhile, with autumn now upon us, get out and enjoy these precious moments.

While we must take time to check out things on the tube, being outdoors is good medicine.

Beautiful weather; Get out and enjoy

Wednesday, September 7th, 2011

With the turn of the calendar one has to wonder what is going on?

It’s hard to believe Mother Nature is being so nice dishing out a number of beautiful days.

Hey, It’s best to get out and take advantage.

Tables of Contents is available at the Williston Library this weekend, while other events await you.

Yes, with fall turning to winter, it is best to enjoy what you can.

But for now sit back and enjoy the football season.

While kicking on Thursday night, Minnesota Vikings fans will have to wait until Sunday with a date at San Diego.

For now make your move!

Storm roars through area last night

Thursday, September 1st, 2011

Hope you were able to nail things down last night as a windy story forced its way through the area.

Reports from out west included a roof being blown off along with some hail.

Once it hit the Williston area it was hang onto your hat as about 9:45 p.m. the power was out and the lights didn’t come back on until nearly midnight.

Some folks early this morning were reporting being out of power for some seven hours.

It’s hard to imagine how we ever got along without electricity.

When events like that happen it’s kind of fun to sit and think about the way it used to be, way back when.

Well, the best thing to do is hang on and move ahead.

This weekend offers a variety of activities with Old Settlers Day in Alexander and the Wade Westin Music Fest in Medora.

You can call 1-800-MEDORA1 for complete details on the Westin event.
