February comes in with very nice weather

Tuesday, January 31st, 2012

While it’s still hard to believe, the month of February will be ushered in with what we have to describe as beautiful weather.

Locals are wondering what is going on, but not too many are complaining.

About the only ones that are spouting off include outdoors men who like to ride snowmobiles, or those who make extra money removing excess snow.

For now everyone will just have to enjoy each day that is dished out.

Latest weather reports claim the nice spell will remain in place for at least another week.

Now how can you beat that?

The best thing to do is thank Mother Nature for saving everyone a few bucks on heat and wasting gas by running automobiles.

All we can say is get out and enjoy.

Search is on for Sidney teacher Sherry Arnold

Monday, January 9th, 2012

The search is on for a Sidney, Mont., High School math teacher.

Sherry Arnold was reported missing early Saturday morning and as of this writing there are no signs.

A single shoe was reported to be found near the area where she takes her daily early morning run.

This is definitely a black eye for the area.

Any one with information should contact the Sidney Police Department or the FBI.

It’s hard to believe something like this has happened in rural America.

NDSU Bison capture national grid title

Sunday, January 8th, 2012

Congratulations are in order for Craig Bohl and the North Dakota State University Bison football team on capturing the national title in the Division I FCS series.

The Bison traveled to Frisco, Texas on Saturday and came home with a 17-6 win over No. 1 ranked Sam Houston State.

Sam Houston had a high-powered offense, but on this day the Bearkats were no match for the strength of the Bison.

The Bearkats were kept out of the endzone, scoring on only two field goals.

This proved to be a big day for Bison fans with the first Division I title being achieved in a very short time.

Hey, life is good in Bison country.
